Dear Friend of Liberty,
Last Tuesday evening, Congressman Ron Paul appeared on The Daily Show to promote his latest book, End the Fed. The appearance capped off a full day in New York City, as earlier that day Dr. Paul participated in a book signing hosted by Borders Books and took a quick trip with supporters to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

The Daily Show interview gave Dr. Paul a great chance to not only state why the Fed should be ended, but to articulate why personal liberties are better protected when government is limited.
Host Jon Stewart asked serious, thoughtful questions and emphasized that Dr. Paul's stand for small government has been a consistent one throughout the years no matter which political party held power.
At the end of the interview, Stewart highly recommended End the Fed to his audience, saying that it was "really thought-provoking," as well as "really well-written" and "clearly from the heart."

The book signing and Daily Show appearance came just days after bestselling author and historian Tom Woods appeared before the House Financial Services Committee as part of the historic hearing on Dr. Paul's Audit the Fed bill, HR 1207.
As shown by that hearing, the movement expected by the establishment to just fade away after the Ron Paul presidential campaign has now officially taken the battle for sound money, transparency, and accountability right to the Fed’s backyard in Washington, D.C. It was a tremendous feeling to watch the Fed’s General Counsel Scott Alvarez have to answer question after question from representatives who clearly are receiving lots of pressure from their districts to support Audit the Fed.

Our movement is growing, and our message is spreading. Thanks to Dr. Paul's new book and your tireless dedication to bringing Congress on board the Audit the Fed bill, our beliefs of sound money and economic responsibility are getting unprecedented attention from the mainstream media and people all around the world, as well as in your local areas here at home.
Just as I was finishing writing this email, I received word that, including Congressman Paul, Audit the Fed now has 300 supporters in the House of Representatives! The Senate version has received the support of over a quarter of the Senate, with 30 cosponsors.
The momentum is on our side, but it is up to us to not only keep the pressure on, but to turn up the heat on our elected officials. Please, call, write, and fax Congress and tell them you want a standalone, up or down vote on HR 1207 and S 604.
Let's see this battle through to the end!
In Liberty,
John Tate
President
